 Age of the Darkmyst

The strigoi awoke in the darkness. Its vision was not hindered by such laws of light. Clawing up through the cursed dirty sarchophagus that had meant to keep it pinned down,  buried deep beneath the surface, it took its first breath in a thousand years; and became alive once more, waiting for the moment of its rebirth.

Question 1: Who are some authors that inspire you ?

Authors that inspire me? Well, I'd have to say Rick Riordian (I do hope I spelled his name right) was one of my bigger inspirations, but as of recently, Authors like Kathrina and my friend Emily have been my inspirations. As well as Jude Kapri, or GummyOverdose, they've been reading Fade to White since the beginning, and that support has really been unexplainably helpful to drive me to continue writing.

The cursed earth tasted sweet on its lips, as if it had remanats of a vitamin it had craved.

Crunching on the soft sand, new blood began to coarse through its veins.

Question 2: What is your favorite word?

Hmm... a favorite word... I can't say I have one. My favourite type of word is a different story. I like words that turn words into parts of a scene, like I'm watching it adapted to film or something.

The burial of this strigoi had been secretly performed by its own flesh and blood. Dried and powdered, its kin had infused the vitality of strong sacrifices back into the dirt, aware that its future awakening would sup upon the power.

Question 3 : When you finish writing a particular chapter, or piece, what sort of thoughts concern you about how it will be received ?

When I finish writing my chapters, the biggest thing that I think about is "I hope they see it as I did", because I visualize what I write before I write it, and try to put that scene to words to the best of my current capability.

Stronger it grew, seeing in the darkness all at once the past , the future and what to expect once it left its tomb; its condemers  intending upon forever. Forever, it thought outloud. With chortling gurgles of resurrected satisfacation, it rose taller than the previous life it had walked in.

Question 4 : Where do some of your written pieces take place ? Where do you like to send the readers mind; to travel ?

If you mean the setting of Fade to White, it's in a medieval setting, like something out of the Arthurian Myths, as well as a few other mythologies thrown in. Its basically a world where every known mythology exists at once, but due to my real life inability to keep track with all those characters, plot points were arranged to make the amount of characters I had to control and keep alive significantly less than if I hadn't. But off of that tangent, it's set in a world around our world's Middle Ages, with two large countries taking most of the land; Silvania and Alfheim. There are a few other somewhat smaller locations that aren't affiliated with either of them, but I'll touch on them when I get the chance, but yeah. I have a large world planned for the series, and if I can't get it all in the 5 books I have planned then I'll find a way to squeeze them into the Prologue series.

Leaving the cave it had once been emtombed in, thirteen feet below the dirt, the air called to wings folded back, now regenerating.

It ran a short distance, taking flight and calling out into the night. Somewhere its kin, expecting this day to arrive, stopped what they doing, and looked up into the sky. They felt one anothers presence.

Question 5 : Why do you write ? What errors have you learned from ? And, what strengths have you focused on ?

I write because, I don't know... because it gives me purpose. It gives me purpose when people like things that I make. I've made some errors, which one of the bigger ones that I could stand to improve are my walls of text. Once I polish that, it's better structure. My strength, that I know of, is my description. I believe that a book is a painting put to words, with each little detail and color needed to make that painting stand out.

She flew up and met him in midair, enraptured by his return. How long had she waited? She had lost track of this thing that mortals refered to as time. They spun with the graceful violence of a dust devil, landing back down, clinging to one another, ready to start what the others had tried to end. Their love and their desire to conquer.

One last question : What would you say to someone who wants to share their writing, but is unsure of doing so ?

It's seems scary at first, because you don't know if someone would like your writing at all. It was for me, definitely. Once you get over that roadblock that is "what if" in your mind, I bet you'd find that people aren't as harsh as you think. There's no other way to know how good your work truly is until others appreciate it as much as you do.

The two walked unseen, transforming at will, invisible , unseen animals, feeding on them one by one. Each drop of life tasted by their tongue enriched their own vitality, power is power, growing with every death they gave; life became rapturous once again.

Until one day, a new strength grew inside of her after their long seperation.

The baby strigoi awoke in the darkness.

Thank you Allen Darkmyst, heres to breathing new life into all these old words.

What a unique piece of work! I especially like how each Q&A occur between very well-written narration that varies each chapter, ranging from adventure, fantasy, poetic, horror/thriller, and many sentimental general-fiction. It also makes each chapter title unique and quirky at times.

The only thing I found difficult were the constant changes in color, straining to see how one is different compared to another and getting frustrated by that instead of actually reading. Though that said, I'm a bit color-blind :P

But besides that, great stuff!

Sentimental and quirky, such perfect compliments, thats what I try to do ...with love.

And as for the colors, I tried to differentiate the Q&A and narrative in-between, however, respectively consider your input, ( very appreciate btw ) I will think about making it all one color.

Thank you so much for the comment , AJLKS.
