My friends mean the world to me.

Everyone becomes my world,

and the world is everything to me.

Question 1: Who is "TR" ? ( Please tell us about yourself, your day to day life).
When you are not writing, what other activities do you pursue, what are some of your passions?

Well, TR is my tiny little pen-name for Tanzila Rehmat. Though I am a Bestowed Blessing by name, I put in undercover; in secret. I have always loved reading Literature and I used to see many of the poets throwing quick signatures at the end of their works that really fascinated me. So I thought my name would definitely feel like a truck on the road if I write it full and it won’t give that poetic impression (Though I don’t feel it now?).

Poetry is my calling BUT it is very moody too. It’s always having mood swings and sometimes it sticks out its tongue and refuses to soothe me (Well that’s funny?)! I write when I have the urge to write and when I get an inspiration. Oh! But I do write forcefully too just to tell myself that I can write anytime I’m SUCH A GREAT POET! Haha!
And this is true that poetry is a gifted thing- you have to wait for the best line from your lips!
Ummm! I do have other passions as well. I love reading Techno-Thriller, Tragic, Detective novels. I love reading Dan Brown for techno-thriller. He is the best who knows how to catch my eye and drag me to his books and lose myself in them!
Music is something that gives water to my soul. I like every type of songs depending upon my mood- I usually listen to violin covers by Taylor Davis and I put them as my background music when I’m writing (Yes, I can’t write without music). That’s odd, isn’t it so?
What else I like… O yes! I love to dance!!! Imagine I’m in a high ponytail swirling and twirling in my room on Taylor Swift’s upbeat songs- let it be ‘Delicate, Bad Blood, Shake it off and ‘We are never ever getting back together.’ Haha!

On top of everything, I just have that crazy germ of traveling and picnicking with my best friends. I can leave everything just to get ready, do my make-over (that I’m mad about too! O now you must be thinking how mad my interviewee is!), head out with my buddies and order my lasagna.

My friends change the world , everyday,

everyday the world changes,

my friends always remain.

Question 2 : What are some of your favorite things to write about and why ? Also, what sort of poetry inspired you growing up, to want to pursue the expressions of writing for yourself?

Hmm this is really a sweet question about ‘inspiration’ because I think that poetry is a magic shawl we all are covered in and it soothes us and keeps us warm. As poetry is a talent and talent cannot be learnt and it cannot be educated; it is inborn (quotes one of my friends). I think everyone is a poet but people don’t recognize it. You get inspired one way or the other and then you say ‘oh I’m such a poetry-fanatic!’ that’s not that- it came because it was your innate talent and you were, of course one day destined to meet it.
Well, if I consider myself, I also didn’t reason I could write anything creative but one day I wrote a birthday poem for my best friend at college and everyone appreciated me so much that I thought Oh really? Haha! Then after a bit of time, I fell in love with a wrong person (Winks). That really pushed me to reading poetry! I started writing about heartbreak and I felt like I was going great with every passing day! Hallelujah! Haha! (I had written only two poems that whole year when I started it; in 2015 I guess).
In middle of 2016, I was free of Vacations and I don’t know from where the idea of writing a short story came into my mind; I started writing with two characters and I kept on adding more by time. I was loving it! I also observed that my writing skills were hidden and this is the time to explore them! Yeah! I finished the story in less than a month! ? I made drafts- showed it to my teachers and mentors and friends- they all appreciated me. I was so happy! And then I promised myself that I’ll one day be a famous writer, for sure! So my writing hobby started from a short story that’s Little Sky (on Booksie).
Coming back to poetry, it’s like love to me. Because you don’t have the answer of ‘Why did it happen, when did it happen.’ It just happens ? and it happened to me too. And I’ve improved day by day. Well, I’m not a good reader- I’m such a lazy lass Haha!
What I love most about poetry is that a poet is the only one who has so many faces (in a positive way). He has the art to be in shoes of each and every character he writes about. He doesn’t have to be a father to write about father’s love and hardships, he doesn’t have to be a wife to understand the love she has for her family and vice versa. What he needs, is only a feeling of power of contemplation, head and heart of imagination and creativity and of course, overwhelming emotions to be all poured out on the paper.
I love writing about everything that fascinates me. I don’t care if it is acceptable or unacceptable by anyone. I just write what I feel like.

Remain, in my heart, I always stay,

stand and hold,

them.

Question 3 : When is your favorite time to write?
( according to the clock,
according to your emotions,
according to the realization of your topic,
according to your own personal evolution.)

Haah! Time to write... ummm there is no specific time to read but yes whenever I feel down and a little bit upset, I remember that's the day I have written my best poems! I haven't written poetry in good mood, whenever I've written, I've written it in my lows- though it is a love poem, happiness', whatsoever it is.
If I tell you by the time of clock, I reckon I mostly write when the sun sets (and now you're making me realize how tragic I am, Haha!) I mean in the evenings. And yeah, sometimes, I never know what I'm writing I just keep on typing and the other day I forget what I wrote and if that is so awesome I start doubting myself asking, 'Did I write it??' Woww! Haha! It's because of the Muse I think! I feel like I do have a Muse who's occupying every inch of my head and heart.

Topics.... usually love and heartbreak! But now I've tried writing on a variety of subjects because I want to be a versatile writer and a poet :)

My friends, I am yours,

I am this friend,

here, for you.

Question 4: If you could travel anywhere to write, what places would you visit, and what do imagine you would write about?

Ohh by asking about traveling, you've just put the hand on my nerves! I really love traveling and I would love to go anywhere peaceful- especially Miami (for the beach, where I would walk barefoot and feel the warmth of the ground), Spain for its beauty, Istanbul, Egypt, Switzerland, Japan ... and I would write about nature and whatever that will invite my attention to! I like serene places where there is no noise when it comes to writing. If I imagine writing then probably I would write about love because that is where my heart takes me to, Haha!

Our friends, we friends,

us friends,

just, are.

Question 5: What are some of your favorite pieces that you have written, and why?

Hmmm... My favourite pieces that I've written are soo many. For instance, 'Married to a man I hated', 'Dawn', 'Sensing by senselessness', 'Enchanted Night with my Muse', 'Because you are blessed' and I love them because they're the poems that I think came straight from my heart. I didn't have to think and edit them any further. I like to write deeply... I always want a piece that's profound and has a message for the reader and these are the poems that are so drenched in love, peace, melancholy and motivation too. Whatever I write has something to do with me. Let it be any theme and any motif.

And, everything we do, we do it for them,

our friends, us friends,

past, present,

we all do the same,

tying up loose ends,

just to make amends,

for someone else to stay brave,

like a friendship holiday,

without bother,

that has not been celebrated yet,

just might...

one way, or another.

Thank you , T.R.

Hugs.
