Uncertainty;
The sun falls, the moon rises.
Eyes to the wall, chest tightens.
Mind races with thoughts unspoken
Feelings simply a token
Pills looking pleasant
Fingers trembling, insistent
Worries flurry, everything blurring
Hand reaching, pills screeching
Head spinning, fingers itching
Mind screaming,
Begging,
Pleading.
Just do it.
End it.
Feel the relief
Let them find you deceased—
Stop.
Wait.
Breath.
Bottle drops, pills clatter.
Uncertainty peeks in,
Asks to enter,
I let it in.
We speak for hours.
The moon falls.
The sun rises,
She helps me live another day,
She is full of surprises

A staccato feeling to the words, indicating the desperation -- sometimes a friend can help so much. Well written to show what can drive us to desperate measures.

I've been in that moment several times in my life, and I'm sure i'll be there again at some point. It's a tough road, but you captured it beautifully. Great writing.
