They called him Pythagoras. But he does not know why. He was only a baby. Pythagoras thought that he did not like that name and he would get them. But he did not know how.
He was loved by every second grader in the class and they all picked him up to snuggle him. He thought that he would throw up every time that they hugged him. One year later, after the summer break, he had a plan. I look black and white. That may mean something, he thought. He researched the black and white. Yes, I can get them.
On the first day of school, the third graders went into the classroom. The teacher asked, “Do you remember Pythagoras?” He is a lot bigger now.
Celeste said “Can I hold him now.” “Of course you can dear.” So she took Pythagoras and cuddled him.
He thought, “Now.” He used his talent on her and the teacher, Mrs. Brown, who was beside her. And on Aaron, Thomas, Sharon, Beth and William who set around her. Pythagoras thought, I’ve got this thing down pat. When the mayor came into the classroom to speak, he used his talent on him.
He had heard that the President would be here soon. So he used his talent on the President first.
I’m pretty good at this he thought.
Wait until the fourth grade arrives. I’ll get them good. No more cuddles.
Maybe I can get Sally snake, Robby rat and Libby big bug to help me next year.
He was now looking forward to the fourth grade.
When the fourth grade arrived, he sprayed into the air conditioning intake and Sally snake, Robby rat and Libby big bug ran through all the classrooms.
School was suspended for three months. School started in December that year.
Skunks should not go to school and be cuddled he thought.
