Chapter 9: birth of the multiverse

Commander Sophie looked out from her omega class ship as the three universes merged into one with mixed feelings the joy of seeing the event happen smoothly without incident and the three universes slotting together were soured by thoughts of her trusted pilot Ivor meing light years away and the dark memory of Myra's execution before her dopplegangere from one of the other universes arrived and took Ivor away.Sophie did not have time to dwell on these thoughts for long because a more pressing issue reared is ugly head the reason why the elven republic ha been an empire for the last decade the war with the Orc legion as within hours ofthe merger being complete an extreme fringe group of the Orc legion struck an attack on an elven ship simular size to Sophie's ship the commander and pilot were both killed along with civilians this was a civilian ship the Orcs had commited a war crimethat was denounced by orc leaders, But Sophie knew they would do nothing she may have been a young commander but she was not stupid she knew that the orcs would not declare war on their own kind or even strike down a rouge extremist group especialy whe they were in a war the orc legion unofficial motto had always been win at all cost an there was more than a chance tat the speach was just a ploy to prevent retaliation and liability.

Sophie knew that the warwas about to heat up and it would only be days at most before the elven council would outlay its plan to ship commanders but her ship lacked a pilot so she would be ordered to return to the nearest elven space port or take on a new pilot who would travel to her ship on orders of the elven council. ultimatly before she was able to make her choice Sophie was ordered to lead a squad to take back the ship from the Orcs knowing the orc legion would do nothing to take down the extremists due to the bitterness surounding the destruction of an orc ship and reluctance to fight against fellow orcs so Sophie borded a delta class cruizer a delta class cruisere is esentialy a ceta class ship only capable of travelling further distabces from the omega class mother ship. alpha and beta class are evacuation pods and short range mobile bording docks

an omega class ship would be seen before She got close and the mission would be ovee before it began So parking outside of the solar system and sending in the delta class ship was the only option. Sophie did not have a say in this and had nomidea what would happen next so instead focused on the task at hand taking back the ship her omega class ship was her home and the thought of not knowing when she would step foot inside again worried her. taking seat inside the transporter with Tylor and Jonas armed with prototype weapons with the plan being to bord take out the extremists and take back the ship as the door cruizer departed doubt started to flood her mind there were only three of them if the extremists detected them taking away the element of suprise the mission would end in faliure.

on approach as they got closer The three squad members sat in silence before boarding then using stealth silence an darkness to isolate each orc before discretely killing them one by one untill the ship was taken back they acted swiftly knowing the non lethal option was off the table by the time the extremist leade knew what was happening he was as good as dead Sophie and her tem stood in a firing suad like formation and ended him before comuinicating with the rest of the crew and awaiting to be piked up and taken back only for the elven council to inform them that this and her ship would be turned into a new space staton and Sophi would eventualy be the commander of a new ship untill then she and her crew would be part of the securityfor the new station which was being built as a new hub and a way to prevent extremists weatheer orchuman or even elven from taking over another ship
