Once upon a time there was a King. He was very great and wise. He ruled all the land that your eye could see.
But one day, he became immensely proud of himself, his power and thought he was the best King there ever was, and made people like him.
The best thing for him was to learn lessons so he could be the best King there is.
These lessons were extremely hard and did not seem real, like being in a dream, but nevertheless he had to learn them.
I will tell you what happened. He was banished from his kingdom.
He went into the forest and lived like a wild animal, his nails grew like bird claws and his hair grew long like feathers of an eagle.
He ate grass like a cow and his body was wet with the dew of the air.
This happened for 7 years, which is a long time.
But at the end of the 7 years, he was welcomed back to his kingdom and understood what he did.
To think you are the best at a sport or your grades.
To think you are the prettiest girl or have the most friends.
To behave badly with those who love you and need you.
Is not the way to be.
He learned his lessons and understood he was a good King because of grace and favor, not because he thought he was the best.
Always be humble, grateful, and most important a good listener.
These qualities will help you to be a good son, or daughter, a good worker, a good father, or a good mother, and that is especially important.
