How deep is deep? Is it just far enough that your feet can no longer touch the bottom? Or is it so far down, that getting back to the surface to breathe, may be a problem? Or is it further still, beyond all hope of recovery?

What Do I Feel

How deep is deep?

Even this inward glance seems deep to me.

Do I need to breathe?

Is there a place here for my feet,

Or something here for my eyes to see?

Do I need to weep?

How deep is deep?

Will I drown here if I don't breathe?

In these brainy depths do I even see?

Surely there's something here of Me...

How deep is this keep?

Thinking if I get any deeper I'll freeze.

Can't tell, am I on my knees?

Seeking the Me I can not please.

How deep is deep?

What do I feel here in the deep of Me?

What do I see?

Seeing here... I'm not all together Me!

Whee... I'm almost free!

OK, that's too deep! I need to sleep...

How deep is deep?

Can I even sleep, when I'm this deep?

I'm free to leap, when I'm this deep!

Is that a breeze? Oh please!

And then my Me, begins to flee...

I find Me... tangled in a tree...

What is that sting? Was it a bee?

No! It was Me, trying to be...

What do I see here of Me?

I feel a We...

Is that Thee? Or just another part of Me?

Hearing a whispering We...

Believing it to be... Thee!

My heart cries please, don't yet retreat.

Can We, for a moment meet?

It would be such a treat!

Is my need this deep?

To reap of Thee a treat, in the deepest deep of Me?
