Matthew
I woke up and sat up in the bed and looked down at the road from the window by the side of the bed, I was way up on a high floor and it was beginning to get dark.
“Look who finally woke up,” said someone. I looked up and saw a boy who looked around 12 years old, about the same age as me. He even wore a t-shirt and trousers identical to mine except for the colour- mine were all white, and his were all black.
“Umm...who are you?” I asked rather confused.
“You're kidding right?” he said.
“Uhh...no,” I said softly.
“I'm your buddy Theo! Wow! Did she really hit you that hard in the head, Matt?”
“Um who is 'she' again?”
“You've got to be kidding me,” Theo gave an annoyed sigh. “'She' is your wicked old neighbour who always gets mad when we make noise while playing in your apartment and this time she got so pissed off that she hit your head with a wooden spatula and locked us here in her room! Do you remember now?!”
“Yeah I guess,” I said vaguely.
“So we need to get the hell out of here,” he said impatiently and walked to the window and opened it's sliding door. “I've been thinking of a plan to escape while you were sleeping Matt. So here's the plan, look at all these thick flat window sunshades,” he said pointing to the sunshades from the window, “They look sturdy enough to carry us, and all the sunshades are very close to each other. We can reach the bottom by hopping from one sunshade to another downward,” he said determined.
I was alarmed by this appalling plan. "What the hell? What are you nuts? Ain't no way we're doing that,” I blurted out anxiously.
“How long are you planning on staying here? Look at the time,” he pointed at the clock on the small table next to the bed which read 6.15. “If you are not gonna follow me then have a good time with that old hag,” he said firmly and walked determined towards the window.
Suddenly, I heard footsteps approaching the door. “It's now or never,” said Theo. I was filled with dread. “Just follow me,” Theo called out and leaped out of the window. Panic seized me. The footsteps were nearing. I stood there frightened for a moment and then rushed to the window and looked down, I couldn't see Theo anywhere below. I started to sweat and breathe hard; the footsteps stopped and the door opened.
A young girl around eighteen years, stepped in. She looked neither old nor wicked, but rather fed up. I stared at her, perplexed.
“What?!” she spat annoyed.
“W-who are you?” I asked fearfully.
She rolled her eyes, “Your unfortunate sister, duh. Anyway, you didn't take your meds?” she asked, crossing her arms and eyeing the table near the bed.
Just then some tablets and a glass of water spawned on the table.
“But what about Theo? He jumped down and escaped,” I started blurting out.
“Who the hell is Theo?”
“My buddy. The door was locked so he had to-”
“No the door wasn't locked.”
“He jumped down the window and I can't find him now so we need to find Theo-”
“Matthew!” she shouted.
Suddenly, something occurred to me. “Wait, what are those meds for?”
“Your schizo of course.”
