To Unmanacle Love
It is a curious yet oh-so-human fact,
that we unravel those we love
We try to cuddle them, but
merely imprison them in embrace
We enslave for the sake of love,
kindly, caringly lock them up,
our dearest and oh-so-nearest
Bearing all this in heart and mind,
the time has come for you
to speed your own way
in the autostradas of life
I’ll quake for you, always remember
your chiming laugh, the two teaspoons
of milk you drip into every coffee,
but to endure together would slit us

Good piece that seems to eloquently capture the old phrase "if you love them let them go." At least that is what it spoke to me.
