There was an old king whose aching bones and
tendons were often hidden from view of his denizens.
His home was in the valley, but he would occasionally
ascend the mountain to supervise the many young
people who joyfully recreated in snow-capped
mountains that towered above the valley.
This king, whose name meant “from the sea”, had
many subjects who, while kind and thoughtful, were
rather rambunctious. The loudest among these
subjects was the clique called the “Kim Jong-Un
Triad”.
Now one particular day, bright and cold, while visiting
the mountain, the “Kim Jong-Un Triad” wanted to “See
More” ways that they could upset the poor, decrepit
nobleman. To ease his needs, and to gain a few
precious moments of silence, the King had entered the
royal palace’s “Room of Thrones”. As he sat on the
royal throne, the King pondered the meaning of life,
and began to read the digital edicts which needed to
be processed and transmitted. Suddenly, with violent
force, the Triad entered the hall of Thrones. One of
them, whose name was “David” (like the King’s),
violently attempted to break down the protective
barrier to the “Room of Thrones”. The King’s anger was
triggered.
“STOP!” he commanded authoritatively. Alas, the
command was not processed, consistent with this
David’s unwillingness, on a daily basis, to accede to
the King’s commands.
Then, strange sounds, like the falling of rain, could
be heard in the antechamber to the “Room of
Thrones”.
“What is the Triad doing now?” thought the king,
so rudely thrust from his ponderings and musings.
One of the Triad’s members increased the king’s
terrors. He activated a violent rush of water that
sounded like thunder. At that very moment, another
brutal thrust to the entrance of the “Room of Thrones”
was made. Although the culprit’s English name means
“beloved”, he had no loving intent. Once more, the
entrance to the “Room of Thrones” withstood the
harsh attempt to break down the barrier to the “Room
of Thrones”. Mercifully, the king’s position on the
throne was not interrupted.
Distracted by other demands and calls, the three
“Tri-Adians” left, determined to diminish the King’s
status at a later date.
Sadly, the king understood that his ability to
discover the meaning of life and the purpose of this
mission would not occur on this day. He left the “Room
of Thrones” discontented and unfulfilled. Perhaps he
will succeed in his quest for meaning when he again
enters the “Room of Thrones”!
