Today's Stay
Pain is my torture,
With silver and logic being my kismet,
Herbs are my evolutionary diet,
And spice is part of my life.
Rain is for growing thy grain,
Natural is thy Bible's reign,
Thread is to yarn,
For crocheting garments each day.
As the sun rises to meet this day,
I hear the birds singing caw-caw tay,
Flying up in the sky,
Passing over this place I stay.
If the torture would subside,
I could enjoy this place,
It's becoming unbearable this morning,
And ruining my day.
But the birds keep singing,
Brightening my day,
To hear their beautiful song,
Is one reason to stay.
