Life In The Fast Lane
Here I lie stealing breaths,
To cushion your mind,
Opening a revolving door,
It's glorious to see.
As the maidens of despair walk by,
I see the ghost of change,
Can you call It's name?
Living on this passenger train.
Walk amongst the living,
With a wounded knee and back,
Hobbling along the way,
Can you feel thy pain?
Looking down the liars wail,
I am pretentious as well,
Just can't walk away,
Seeing what I've lost.
Living life in the fast lane,
Now you know the cost,
My broken theocracy in time,
It just haunts me.
Forever taking my soul,
2000 years coming,
Eternity is closer,
Than it was yesterday.
