Waves of silver
Well across the thick darkness,
Little flecks of gold—

Childish as a word.
He had glimmers of gold,
But you—
You are like the ocean’s depths,
Salty and dark,
Calm to embark,
Yet with a sense of mysteriousness
Behind those precious metals,
Swept across your canvas.
