A 10 year old girl is fighting cancer. She is so strong and throughout the whole journey she stays strong

Della (10 years old, bright and cheerful despite her illness) loved to draw. Her vibrant pictures, usually featuring playful unicorns and rainbows, adorned the walls of her hospital room. Her best friend, Tom (11 years old, a loyal and supportive companion), visited her every day, bringing silly jokes and his favorite comic books. Della’s diagnosis of leukemia had been a devastating blow to her family, but Della herself faced it with surprising courage, determined to fight the illness with the same energy she devoted to her artwork. She endured countless painful procedures and treatments, always keeping a brave face, though sometimes tears would escape during particularly difficult nights.

The chemotherapy was hard. Della's hair fell out, making her feel self-conscious. There were days when she felt utterly exhausted, when even lifting a crayon felt like a monumental effort. Tom was a constant source of support, reading to her, playing games, and simply being there. He'd even started drawing unicorns himself, albeit rather clumsily. Slowly, Della began to feel a little stronger. The nausea lessened, her energy increased, and the vibrant colors in her drawings regained their intensity. Her doctors noticed the improvement too; the blood tests showed positive signs. The waiting was excruciating, each day stretching into an eternity.

Finally, the day arrived. Della sat nervously in the doctor's office, clutching Tom's hand. The doctor smiled, a genuine, warm smile that reached his eyes. "Della," he said, his voice filled with relief and happiness, "the tests are back, and they're clear. You're cancer-free." Tears streamed down Della’s face, tears of pure, unadulterated joy. Tom hugged her tightly, relieved beyond words. Della  knew the fight might not be completely over, that she'd need follow-up appointments, but for now, she could celebrate. She picked up her pencil and began to draw a huge, brilliant rainbow, a symbol of her victory over the darkness.
