Another new day

It was another summer day, the sweat was slowly dripping off my cheeks after a really good game of volleyball in gym class. Lucky for us we all we had next was Lunch, Matt's mom packed him kool aid and a turkey sandwich. Matt's my bestfriend we met in the first grade and were buds till then, we would always trade our lunches because my mom would pack me peanut butter sandwich and orange juice and Matt loved my moms peanut butter sandwiches. The bell rang and it was time to go home, my mom was in the car waiting for my arrival I gave her a hug and she asked me how my day was I told her it was good we had really fun. My sister was in the front seat with my mom she was 15 years old, she was always on her phone tapping away. My mom would always have to tell her to put her phone down, I always thought myself how can someone look at a screen all day? When I asked her she told me that as you grow older you'll see life isn't always playtime, I told my mom she said I can never play when Im her age! My sister chuckled and said "no kid I meant when your my age your not gonna care about playing outside" I had a shocking look on my face "Mom is that true?" I asked my mom "No! Britney can you stop bothering your little brother?!" We were parking and I got out of the car and headed inside my house and dropped my bag on the floor and greeted Sam my golden retriever. Hes super sweet and loving, he reminds me of the love my mom gives us because he always gives us licks and jumps on us. I went to Matts house later then and we played basketball at his house and then I got home later that night and got ready for bed. I thought long and hard of what my sister said. I had to enjoy all the playtime Im getting now because later I'm not going to care or give any thought of having fun. I have to have as much as fun as I can while I'm young or I will regret it forever.
