Cleaning Up House

Hello, my brothers and sisters in Christ,

My brother is a teacher. Recently, his students asked about his brother (me), because they were doing some digging online. Since this account was the most active from the years 2016-2021 (when I was still a dumb teenager), a lot of what I have on this account is rather humiliating in regard to the previously stated context.

I, too, will become a teacher (after I finish my teaching degree in about 2 years), and I do not particularly want my students to read some of the stuff I put up here. I don't regret posting what I posted or writing what I wrote, but that was the past and this is the present.

I will be slowly going through my work here and archiving it into a book for my own reading. I still love most of my stories, so whenever I'm looking for inspiration in the future, I'll be able to look through this book to plagiarize myself. If there are any stories you remember that you found particularly silly and may want to look back and laugh at, let me know and I can send it over.

Previously, on Bruvton's news:

Hi folks,

alas, my infidelity has resulted in online homelessness.

I had abandoned (partially) Booksie for a shiny new website called Commaful, where I set up a home and an impressive (at least to me) 18 500 followers over six years. In that time I started new trends, inadvertently caused drama, and was inspired to publish a chapbook of mostly poetry (I had not explored writing poetry on Booksie, but the cool format of Commaful deeply motivated me to give it a shot (and I got pretty good at it)).

Now, the website is shutting down. My followers? Gone. My friends? Scattered. Six years of work? Well, at least I get to keep that (they are archiving the website and are allowing all users to download their works).

Thus, I shall return to Booksie. I still love writing and will not give up.

That means I'll likely be more motivated to write longer-form content as well as poetry! I'll also be working on my website (bruvton.com) that has been sitting relatively unused for way too long.

I'm happy to return to the place that got me started and was my first home on the internet. I hope some people are still here! Drop me a quickee so I can say hi!

Pax Christi,

Bruvton
