About

Daniel Kauffman is retired and living in the Pacific Northwest with two cats (who have issues between them).

I like horror stories. I write them. I read them.

To me, horror stories must have ambiguous conclusions.

Frankenstein, Ligeia, Children in the Attic, and The Lottery chill my bones.  Why?

A horror story leaves the reader asking questions.

Mark Twain's "The Lady or the Tiger" is a horror story.
