It's About Time
My first published book "Wicked Games: The Wrong Side of Forever" was a good book, not my best. I took a step of faith and published it. The dream being to be a published author whose books could be purchased at book stores. For some reason, the book store portion of that dream was the precedence, not the publishing. I found out, after forking out the money to get the book published that the year of publishing, 25 million other people were doing the same thing. In fact, that year Internet Publishing, also known as DIY, overtook traditional publishing. This required authors to become the writer, the publisher and their own promoters. "Wicked Games" did not sell the way that I wanted it to, because I am not a promoter, I am a writer with a full-time job. I sold my share of books, received praise and accolades from those that read it, even the mayor of the city where I live wrote me a letter congratulating me.However, with this new model of DIY, your book is not put on book shelves at book stores. For this to happen, you must first sell 100,000+ books. How? How do you sell 100k in books when there is no traditional publishers to promote it?Well, since that fateful day I have written elevan more books, with multiple others in my head and it's time to do something with them. I am not ready to fork out the dough to get them published and take on the role of a promoter, but I have to do something and Booksie seemed like a good start. Get my stuff out there, hear what people have to say about it and share the fact that I've got something to say through the written word. I hope you'll take the time to read my work, more importanlty, however, that you'll let me know what you think.
About
In 1986 I was in a near-fatal accident that, after seven days in a coma something was awakened in me. The need to write. More specifically the need to write about the psychological, phobias and in-general things that make you think. In total, I've written ten books, only one of which is published. I hope to share them with you, get your input and eventually take the next step of publishing the full-library of what I've written.
