Eau de toilette

It was said there was once a peculiar toilet that was built specifically for someone important, though it was never mentioned who at that particular time.

The walls around the toilet was built like a safe room and perhaps the room itself was meant for that very purpose.

The walls and floor were coated with gold (probably exaggerated) and it came complete with its own air-ventilation system (some said it was air-conditioned). It was designed in such a way so that the structure can stand on its own (it might've been part of a bunker) instead of being just an extension to a chamber where the said owner resided.

So much for the room but that is not what this story is about, no. This story is about the toilet. Judging from the color of the walls (gold as they say), you've might guessed the toilet would be gold-plated as well but alas that would a general misconception.

The truth was, the toilet was completely red (I guess it's the only thing red in the room). Some claims to have seen it but whatever their claims were, they all seem to agree to its deep red color which was a reminiscence to the color of blood.

Some even say that it's never been truly used and that it served a different purpose altogether. The more popular conception would be how the so-called leader would go in there even if it was just to sit on its cover and contemplate on thoughts of the day, so as to not be disturbed. Whatever it was, it was believed that whenever he steps out of the chamber, he will always be reinvigorated with new thoughts and plans that were never thought of before.

According to one story, the leader (military implied), overthrown by his own people (or invaded, probably) had no means to escape so he retreated back into his chamber before he ended up locking himself in the bathroom whose door was hidden behind a sliding wall. So when his potential captors entered his room, they weren't able to find him and out of frustration, they set the whole place on fire (some say it was bombed to smithereens).

Regardless of whatever happened, some believed that the bathroom survived the attack, thus saving the leader as well. On a more grim note, it was said that the door was damaged and stuck, therefore leaving him to his demise, to be forever stuck in bathroom with a red toilet until he dies. One the other side of that was of course the idea that he made it out safely but not before detaching the toilet (I guess it's detachable now?) and taking it with him to God-knows-where.

Overall, the legend still holds that the red toilet is still somewhere out there, still being utilized like it had been so many times where it would be sat on by its owner, be it for business or pleasure while injecting them with nefarious thoughts that never existed before.

Maybe it existed, maybe not, but a blood red toilet does serve its purpose, be it one way or another.

After all, wouldn't you like to sit on it if given the chance? I know I would.
