Online TDS payment, also referred to as TDS e-payment, has grown in popularity as a practical and effective way for taxpayers to meet their tax obligations. Now, people and businesses can quickly start their TDS payment online, through the income tax portal and reduce the burden of conventional paper-based methods.
As a result of the development of TDS online payment systems, taxpayers can now quickly check the status of their TDS challan online. Now that people can easily log in to the income tax portal and access real-time updates on their TDS challan status.

The chosen payment gateway will direct you to its page, which will list all of its options. In this mode, the transaction fees listed in Annexure 1 will also apply in addition to the tax amount.
For paying TDS online, the taxpayer must have a valid PAN or TAN for which he has to make a TDS payment. Also, the taxpayers have to register themselves with the Income Tax e-Filing Portal and link their TAN with the e-filing account. Let’s discuss the above matters in brief.

The NSDL-TIN website offers an online application for TAN. The websites incometaxindia.gov.in and protean-tinpan.com both list the addresses for the TIN FC.

To make a payment of TDS deducted to the government, there are two modes available, namely.

You will be taken to the Payment Gateway website, where you can log in or provide your Net Banking, Debit, Credit, or UPI information and complete the payment. Before choosing a payment method, you can compare the transaction fees offered by the five payment gateways (as per Annexure 1).
