Ethnicity being relative

Oh, to be a Brit

Having been a teenager during the Beatles era, I felt a great heratage towards Great Britain. My favorite writers were from England: Ian Fleming, T.H. White, Tolkein, and best of all, Charles Dickens.

Oh, to be a Brit. (I lament!)

I would motor to Bristol and eat fish and chips. I would meet an English woman, who I would love and call her "my bird".

She would run her fingers in my hair and call me "love" or "DUCKY". She would have protruding lips and I would never tire of kissing them.

I would play pub darts with my "Mates".

We wore pointey Italian shoes during the Beatle era and we ran. It is hard to descibe how fast and how many chain link fences I climbed. What I love about the British is their sense of civility.

I want to wander about the mud of the Thames. I would visit the Tower of London and look for my soul.

I woud go to Whitbyand look for the place Dracula took his first victim. I must see Madam Tussade's wax museum-and I know I could get in trouble in Picadilly Circus.

I would visit Thomas Hardy's Sussx....I would rent an Austin Healey 3000 and the men would refer to me as "Yank".

Wondering, is the air so different there? Is the color of the sun a different hue?

They would all carry umbrellas. I would say: "Good Day" and be understood that I meant only good luck.

I will never make it to England. I ....don't travel well anymore.

I would like to do these things though....
