About

Welcome to my page!

Married with two crazy kids

Born and raised in a hilly village in the county of South Yorkshire, UK,  in a close family environment.

The landscape around me proved to be an inspiration, and from an early age I enjoyed creative writing,

Humour too, was a favourite theme, and I loved to make absurd chains of similar sounding words.

The idea that a poem could be made from nothing tangible, such as wood or brick, intrigued me.

My other interests include playing guitar and writing songs.

I love almost every genre of music as long as it is soulful.

It's been moving to see all the encouragement shared between writers since I joined the Booksie community..

This has proven to me that self-promotion is only part of why we do this.

So, my warmest thanks for allowing me to share my poetry with you, and I hope you enjoy my work....or is that 'play'?
