SANTA CAN YOU HEAR ME?
Santa can you hear me
all I want this year
Is for this selfish war to end
and have my family near

I miss my wife and children
making angels in the snow
Holding my wife and kissing
underneath the mistletoe
***
Santa can you hear me
before it gets too late
My family really needs me
this war will have to wait
***
In my pocket is a picture
of my kids and wife
To be with them this Christmas
I would gladly give my life
***
Santa can you hear me
through the missile blast
Just to spend another Christmas
with them is all I ask
***
The Christmas lights are blinking
their lighting up the skies
Santa can you hear me
before another soldier dies

This made me cry.. I was very close to two soldiers not too long ago that lost their lives around Christmas time. This is so sad, and yet you always manage to make even the saddest, most tragic experiences beautiful through your words.
