A poem from my book “Out of Chaos” inspired by a panting and a wonderful evening :)

Two people.

The upside down city, their playground

A world that dazzles beneath their feet

Wandering souls

Two minds stuck in time

Drifting aimless

Unexpected

They meet.

Enthralled with the chaos of street lights

A mess of buildings, crafted from glass

They shatter the world with their presence

And watch as the structures collapse

Concrete crumbles to the ground around them

A peaceful whirlwind of dust and debris

The inverted city of silence,

Of Stillness

Calmness

And Ease.

F i n a l l y, she believes

Swimming upwards from darkness

Towards freedom

Breaking the surface and gasping for air

Greeted by a galaxy of twinkling lights

From the upside down city

Stripped bare.

A chaotic mind on fire

In a fountain that douses the flames

The amphibian-of-ambivalence dances in bliss

Finally,

Free from her chains.

The city flips and it spins

And with it they danced

Entranced by the outlines left behind

Surrounded by sonder on park

Enchanted

Two souls

Now, entwined.
