The Magic Of Love
I was like an impatient bird that flew here and there;
My heart suffered from a dearth of emotions and I felt darkness everywhere.
You brought me to life by making me feel special, you acquainted me with light;
And now that I've got new emotions, I want you to hold me tight.
Whenever you are around me, I feel like stopping the caravan of time;
I would love to be a criminal if this love were a crime.
The enchantment of your tender touch sweeps away my pain;
I could feel the magic in the air when you kissed me in the pouring rain.
Your charming smile makes my day the way a star lightens up the sky:
You're always there to wipe away my tears whenever I cry.
Our love is beautiful, our love is eternal and as peaceful as a dove;
You make my brain foggy and I can't think straight, that's the magic of Love!!!

this is really good. i've really only had a couple school girl crushes but this captures the very image of love. all the little feelings you get...your rhyming is awesome. :D and I am in Everafterdarlings contest too, (for short stores not poetry) so from one contestant to another, this is really a piece of art.

A really beautiful poem. I love how at the start it was all dark and gloom and then the love interest was introduced and then suddenly the poem lit up with emotions and love.

I like this :) I liked how, even though you were hurt by someone and on the bitter end of love, you created a poem with an uplifting and positive message about love. It flows well and I like the rhyming scheme; doesn't come out as forced. It's relatable to most and I liked how you ended it off with the title. Good job, and good luck in the contest :)
