A Fate Worse Than Death - Exrended

Last year, I wrote a 1300-word story called ‘A Fate Worse Than Death’. It was to be a much longer story, but writer's block got in my way, and I couldn’t come up with a continuation. It was a good story as far as it went, so I gave it a hasty ending and posted it on Booksie anyway. I have regretted that abrupt ending ever since. I recently set out to write a better ending, and my muse suddenly kicked in. As a result, the story is now 3,700 words longer. The original story is still there, up to the point where Barry finds himself in a very strange place. The tale that unfolds from that point is bizarre, but it has a more satisfying ending. I hope people will have as much fun reading the extended story as I had in writing it.
