When all is said and done

hushed words sink to silence,

falling from grace like rocks in space

igniting upon entry, to finally cease.

So few that make it through,

crashing down with the force

Of a thousand -

unintelligible to all but they who witness

this moment captured by infinity.

A trifle to most, but spoken right

within the proper light -

beaming down with searing heat -

They fall with the weight of the world

on those who wish to hear.

Until the splendor of a single leaf,

green, and unphased by nature's fury

drifts too soon to meet its maker

with no chance to give back in turn

the life it once received.
